If you have a Lidar sensor on your phone you could use it to measure young forests.
You could either walk close and measure the diameter or mark the tree from distance if you only want to count the number of trees.
If you want to measure young forests – select the diameter 2-15 cm when you are choosing plot size. Se image below.
Traditionally we are using manual tools like coords, rods and inclinometers. Our app replaces all of them. You will of course get GPS-coordinates of the plots and you could do a summary in the field.
