We have now released an update of the app Arboreal Forest. Now you can measure a tree from two different positions and the app calculates the average diameter. This will increase the individual accuracy of the diameter, but not so much for the average diameter in a sample plot. It could be a good idea to measure thick trees from two positions as they influence the estimate of volume and basal area more.
You could also enter age and growth on the trees and we will also show them on the summary page.
